- The EBSCO databases Academic Search
Premier and Communication and Mass
Media Complete are currently available on a trial basis. Please
contact the library enquiry desk (email library@paisley.ac.uk
or telephone 0141-848-3759) for the login details.
- Academic Search Premier is the world’s largest
academic multi-disciplinary database and provides full text for
nearly 4,650 serials, including full text for more than 3,600 peer-reviewed
titles. PDF backfiles to 1975 or further are available for well over one
hundred journals, and searchable cited references are provided for more than
1,000 titles.
- Communication & Mass Media Complete provides
the most robust, quality research solution in areas related to communication and
mass media. CMMC incorporates the content of CommSearch (formerly
produced by the National Communication Association) and Mass Media Articles
Index (formerly produced by Penn State) along with numerous other journals
in communication, mass media, and other closely-related fields of study to
create a research and reference resource of unprecedented scope and depth
encompassing the breadth of the communication discipline.
- Nursing database CINAHL has moved from
Ovid to EBSCO. The same features are available and we think EBSCO is
easier to use. 2,500 journals are indexed and around 300 of these are
available in full text. Pre-CINAHL is also now available on EBSCO. This
provides bibliographic details of new articles which are not yet on the main
CINAHL database.
